Topic: Non-technical users as a developers

There are those who imagine a company where non-technical users can develop a new product or a service or automate something. The general idea is that by using almighty RESTfull APIs, one non-IT person should be able to extract and/or manipulate data and do something with it.

And now I remember that story about a Windows user who searches for the key on the keyboard, when being asked to press ANY key.

What do you think, are we advancing to such age when a non-technical user is going to be able to fiddle around with REST APIs, with a goal to "crud" the data, without understanding what is actually happening under the hood.

In the world of Mulesoft, such people, together with those who would emphasis the use of Mulesoft in the companies, would be called Integration Trailblazers.

I strongly believe that we will never "advance" to such age.

That Era is here! I am one of them. Learning Mule 4 right now as I type. I am sure it only sounds as bad as it is pictured, but let me assure you all, although I am a non-Tech - a guy without a BS degree/certificate, I am the curious type. I may not understand everything in the first Go but yes, I ensure that I am digging enough and collecting enough to get the job done Right! I am a self taught professional and so far have been doing well. I am sure I shall learn the ropes here too with experts like you to guide the non-techs like me.
