On Wednesday 19th of May we took part in an online event called EDA Summit 2021. The summit was organized by the Canadian company Solace with a main goal to give wider perspective of what Event Driven Architecture (EDA) is and how it can be useful.

Remarkable organization

First thing that we noticed was absolutely remarkable, beautiful and well-organized user interface of the system that was used to make sure this event runs smoothly. With carefully chosen colors, impeccable layout in every possible sense (the margins, typography, etc), it was nothing less but pure pleasure to enjoy the five star user experience that Solace provided to us.

We at FoMS strongly believe that the internal quality of the company can be quite well assessed already by observing how much care for details in the design and presentation of the product has been invested. Therefore we strongly recommend you to emphasize cooperation with those companies where design does matter and to avoid those companies where a programmer designs a product along the way.

EDA Summit was pure technical enjoyment for all our senses.

Agenda and on-demand content

The event started at 9:00 AM US Eastern Time and it lasted around nine hours. Although the main subject for sure was event driven architecture, there were also many interesting subjects that were covered, mentioned or talked about such as trends in EDA through real world scenarios, various interesting case studies, architecture guides for EDA, asynchronous messaging concepts, microservice architecture, event-based APIs patterns, event-driven microservice architecture and integration, iPaaS strategies, abstraction and standardization for event-driven integration and many more.

Attendees of the summit could chose between live and on-demand content, which made enrollment in the event even more interesting.
